I was more than a little surprised when I checked the numbers. 1.01 gallons per hr. Almost exclusively run on medium speed with medium heat. I'm not sure if changing the heat setting would affect the gas used. The 5m on dual, which is where I always used it except straight upholstery, got 1.21-1.23 most tanks. The 870 holds it heat better and uses less gas, pretty cool. Currently tech challenged so I can really dual anything.

I'm at 1.3-1.4 with the Thermalwave Vortec. A far cry from my 3 gph with the Genesis 59!
