One of my higher end customers wanted me to clean some of her chairs and cusions. When I walk into this lady’s house I feel like I’m walking into a 2001 space odyssey movie set. Everything is white.

This customer has some viscose chairs she tried to clean herself. The chairs ended up with some really bad water stains and browning. She also had a very expensive and old pink crushed velvet pedal chair she wanted cleaned.

Normally I would have turned this type of delicate fabric cleaning down, but not today. I was armed with the knowledge of Jim’s teachings. Everything came out great.

If any of you guys are on the fence about Jim’s Fine Fabric class, get your butt in there. You will set yourself apart from your competition.

Looking forward to the class before the Fest. Having been around a long time I have learned a couple things but... the bamboo silk re-upholstery/viscose, that I luckily walked from has haunted me. It really looked and felt like a polyester.
I would guess in that house and address she spent between 5 and 8k and maybe more on the re-upholstery job.

She kept insisting that it would clean easy because the Upholsterer said it would clean easy. They also told her it was bamboo silk. I asked her how she thought they got silk out of bamboo because I thought silk came out of a caterpillar of some kind. Would have been a bad day if I would have tried to clean it.

So how did you address the water stain. Years ago starting out I cleaned furniture like that and didn't know what it was.

I'll reserve that explanation for Jim or PM you out of respect for his class. Plus there are a few sandbaggers in my area that read this board. I don't want to give up the secrets that I took time to go to class for.

So sorry about the derailment Damon.
Just wondering. If we promise to stop, any chance you'd chain yourself to a cash register at Safeway, join a union, and vote Democrat?
