Tonight as I was doing some work on my laptop my automatic backup program started, and just as it finished my laptop shut off. Wondering what the heck was going on I look, and my ac adapter took a crap. I back my computers and network up as separate images to a 2 terabyte external hard drive. I checked and everything is safe and sound, but I just have to wait for the ac adapter to come in. All local places wanted 100+ for one. I found one on the net for $39 plus shipping. After I get my taxes back I'll be investing in a new laptop.

If you don't have your files backed up somewhere I suggest you do that ASAP. Never know when something crazy might happen!

I've had a couple of cords take a crap on me. All I needs is a soldering iron and some electrical tape and presto....... fixed.

I back up to an online service and onto an external flash drive. Man, if I lose my stuff...rut roh!

I've got more safety nets in place for the safety nets too.

Thanks Hoodrow Willson.

The ads say that carbonite backs up every time you log on. How does that effect the performance of your puter? Does it run slow every time you turn the box on?
