I am looking at another TM that has injection, and requires a return gas line to the tank. Can I just install a return line to the fill tube and let it return the fuel there? Would I need to drop a line into the tank? If I install in to enter the filler neck tube, can that create a static charge or explosive problem? I already have a single fuel tap for my older Ford Genny, and really didn't want to install a new dual tap system in my 03 Chevy Express.

Where would you run the tube through?

I'd get the right tap - not too hard on most necks and not worth chasing vapor lock issues or fume buildup issues on a non airtight diy tap.

As an installer I would recommend getting the proper fuel neck kit.
