I'll do total house cleaning (carpet + house cleaning) on For Sale Homes. There is much more money to be made there per hour than with regular house cleaning. They are a lot of work. Most take 1 1/2 -2 days for 1 man. Tickets are $1000+. Market the service through your local Realtors and the Internet. I did 2-3 per month last year. Helps to even out the season. You can fit them in on your off times since they are empty.

I've partnered up with a couple local maid services and cut Percentages.

Move in and outs make the most money of course for the one time split.

Generally I will take 10% of their take If I get them the job and they will take about 10% of mine If they get me the job. It depends on how much involvement we have in each others job.

One maid service will schedule the job for me and I will just charge them my prop manager prices and he charges them whatever he can get above that.

Works for me...I need to refer house cleaners anyway so why not make some money off of it and vice versa.

I have cleaned houses myself and no fricken way will I ever do that again. PITA.
