Hey POGs tell me what you found to be the most efficient way to bundle up all that crap and carry it into homes or condos.

Pictures would be nice too.

I'm personally taking full advantage of this lackluster economy and brought in a few unemployed bums to do the lifting and dragging. They work 12 hour days for a 6 pack of Hamm's beer and don't complain at all. No pics at this time, they are camera shy.

When things pick up, I guess I'll have to tighten the straps as it's hard to get around the old minimum wage!!

Seriously, I have a plastic tote that I put all of the chem jugs and small items in, saves time on trips to and from the vehicle. It fits perfectly up on top of the Mytee.

I use a well trained pack mule. He's content to just graze in the custys kitchen till I'm done............. I load chems, spotters, etc in the solution tank on the recoil, the flat top gets another box, hose and wand. Second trip on furniture dolly is airpath, multisprayer, vac, and while towing that I'll push the op if needed. Lot's of folding platform carts on the web. One guy here used a big wheeled garden cart.

Trip one
Vacuum and Steamin demon. I leave the demon on the front porch while I vacuum--I am not a PIG.

Trip Two

Basket with Toolbox and hoses and chems right to the bathroom

Trip three
Vacuum to the rig and OP back for agitation if I will need it.

Both Bob Foster and Ofer Kolton (Kolfer 1) suggested Mytee make a cart or a tray that would fit on top and lock into the top of the portable for carrying misc. stuff (that's a technical term for whatever) I met Kolfer at Pro Line in San Carlos, CA. and he took me out to his van and should me the problem. He even gave me a sketch of a tray. It could be molded for I guess about $50.00 and could possibly have a braket to carry the wand and hose. What do you guys think of that idea?

When you think of it here are the functional challenges working with a portable

It would be nice to take two and only two trips into a home that you are cleaning.

One trip is the portable with as much stuff that you can hang off of it that will
1. not fall off when moving
2. capable of staying on/with the machine when climbing stairs
3. will not make it hard to get through door ways
4. maybe even not have to be taken off the machine while it goes in and out of a van

One of the problems is as in the case of the M5 or M12 these machines are already heavy and I don't think it too practical to have too much that you leave on the machine if as in the case of many you are not using a ramp to unload it and also as you are reefing the machine up stairs that it isn't again too heavy.

I think a better idea is to make a roto molded cart that has a similar dimensions and wheels as the portable itself that holds most all the other things you would need on a basic job.

Its wheel configuration would be very similar to the portable with big rear wheels for climbing stairs so the layout of storage of things on the cart would have to tolerate tipping while going up stairs.

It would somehow hold the following.

reel that held the solution hose supply hose and the dump hose (how about one reel where everything is attached together so the first one to reel off is the solution hose, the second is the supply hose and the third is the dump hose (all 50 or less feet)
50 foot hose
wand
stair tool
boss sprayer
spotting kit
vacuum
2 jugs of 1 gallon each
fill bucket

It would sell.

And build a spot to put wet floor caution hoses sign the displays on it in a couple of spots

Wand, hoses, grooming brush and sprayer all fit nicely into the well of my diamondback stormchaser. When I was a posty hack I had a system

John,
Just keep it sweet and simple.
A simple solid rack/box without any additional inside compartments. A well made box that is really well secured to the portable- maybe locked in.
(We can loop the hose around- no need for a wheel.)

Everyone is different. They will fill it with what they need and the way the like it.

I for one will be really grateful if you made it.
It will be a most welcome addition and my aching bones may even thank you.

That is if they will gather enough energy to do it.

Thank you Ofer, I've been thinking about this and had already started drawing it when this thread came up. Your comments and sketch was a big help whenn we talked at Pro Line. Thanks again.

The key here is Retro-fit.

Just like a "riser" for the Mytee TM tank, it would be a simple molded piece that would sit over the waste tank of a Speedster or M-5 body and have provisions for a few tools on the outside and a 5 gal bucket to sit upright on the inside, maybe even Lock in to the 6" port on the top?

It would be fairly low profile, and you would probably just leave it in place.

Would partially remove the need for the wire side hooks the Mytee inserts use currently, but not entirely, I like the slim-line hydro-soaker hooks and solution line/power cord hangers.

worst case scenario you use a couple of the mytee rotary cam latches and a guy drills a couple 10-32 holes, take about 5 mins. to mount.

is that what Ofer illustrated?
We'll call it an OferRack!
