This is the problem, we still have doctors in their full ingnorance telling people to get rid of their carpets and go to hard surface floors to minimize allergys without any knowledge of what those hard surface floors are made of. They even use words like "that carpet is a dust trap" without realizing what they just said. Yeah! carpet is a very efficient dust trap. Traps the dust and allergens at floor level where you can"t breathe it. There 2 brochures available at the CRI that every carpet cleaner should be distributing to his customers One is titled, cleaner air may be right under your feet and the other is often-held myths surrounding carpet are dispelled.

Maybe Doctors tell patients to get rid of their carpets because it increases more customers for them.?.
In the late 70's early 80's when the doctors in Scandinavian countries told people to change their carpets to hard flooring, Asthma and Allergy sufferers shot up 600%.
Carpet is a whole house Air filter that must be maintained through HWE every year.

We are being told we cant wet mop the manufactured flooring being installed in new construction. It damages the finish. Water damages the finish.

Yeah thats what I want in my kitchen and bathrooms. And thats whete we are seeing it a lot.

No way to dry it if it gets wet. Moisture gets in and it has to be removed and replaced.

Not to mention the paint overspray and masking tape glue thats down for months.

I think the water is the least of their concerns but they caught us with the mop.
