Any experience with this wide area vacuum?

So day one of the 32k sqft school job is done. I bought the a shark and it did well today. The problem is the cleaning path width is terrible, horrible, and disgustingly small.

So some synapses fired and I thought about renting.

This unit has about a 2.5x cleaning path which would speed things along greatly (so would getting a helper, but I have trust issues). The closest one is a couple hours away so there’s that …

Does anyone have experience with this unit? Will it pick up the super fine powdered sugar dust the Shark is getting? Also an acceptable answer is “you got the big job you wanted so suck it up new guy and push the Shark until you die. It will teach you to hate when you grow up.”

PS. I called the janitorial supply house in my area and they have absolutely nothing available for purchase in the big boy vacuum space.

These kick ass and can be converted to a paper bag system

Amazon product

Buy lots of extra belts

I'd figure a way to mate 2 of them together like the old Hoover Conquest vacuums @encapman would sell before being discontinued.. But still being able to disconnect when need be..

I have had the sh!tty powrflite 28" wide area vac, I have 3 Nobles 26" vacuums (been in storage).. Problem I ran into is it's too wide for going around tight spaces.. Only really good for Ballrooms, convention centers, larger areas with nothing to move..

15" - 18" is more manageable but I'd just hire a couple extra hands to vacuum in front of you..

The Windsor Chariot ride-on is the holy grail of vacuuming with the counter rotating brushes with vacuum.. 3 mins a hallway was done in a hotel we had to clean..

Check your local vacuum repair shops for decent used vacuums. I know of one place driving distance from me that is worth the trip. Closer ones are not worth stopping at. I had to shop around.
Just a thought for you.

If your gonna do the 32k ft again or something comparable, then that’s the ticket. I wouldn’t like it because it’s corded. But I use the scout’s daily, which have a battery. (We really do vacuum). You have to consider storage and transportation when considering that vacuum. It will work for you though.

It would have just been a rental for this job, but I went a different route.

I don’t have helpers in my business yet, but needed one here and Since it is a tiny little town school I asked for the lead custodian to give me the name of a local kid who needed some work.

Worked perfectly because it endeared him to me for hiring one of their folks.
