My kid just turned 21 and I'm bring him along as a BDay present.

He is quite the hustler and would prefer to play a small tournament if possible. Do they offer drop in tourneys or is he dreaming?

Is the Hilton a decent place to play, what can you recommend and are you willing to have him tag along?

I play sit and go games. There are lots of options and tourneys starting frequently at many casinos. I am not a large tourney fan - takes too long to get through it. I use to like playing the sit and go at Sahara but I think they may have clesed their poker room.

Tons of good games all up and down the strip. 1-3 table games.

Sit and goes.

The hilton has or had a crappy poker room.

MGM. Luxur. Mandaly bay. Wynn. Excal.

Good spread game at osheas. Right on the sidewalk near. Fun game.

No, find the fish on the strip.

1-2 NL at some oh the higher end hotels can be good..

Love the 1st time players, sadly they sometimes get lucky.

The right spread game can be good.

Lots of peeps will sit down for the 1st time with a hundy and spread it around real quickly.

I play a game on Thursdays often.. 10-20 players.
They pay 1-4 places depending on game size.
I've finished 1st the last 3 times I played, and cashed most of the 10 times I've played.

Just find the right game.. Lots of choices.

Take him to the Orleans. It's a very busy off strip poker room.

They have a couple of tournaments everyday. If he happens to get knocked out early he can play a cash game either LHE, NLHE or Omaha.

Otherwise go to the Venetian.

The Sahara closed down a couple of months ago.

I will play mostly blackjack but it would be fun to play poker some too. And I never wear swishy in the poker rooms.

I'm not a good poker playing. You have to be a good no make that a GREAT liar and i just don't have that in me anymore. Besides that you have to have a lot of patience and sitting at a table for hours and hours to only make a couple hundred doesn't work for my ADD. You've gambled with me I like to bet big win big and move on

I disagree 100% John and I am ADHD. I never sit at a table more than an hour and in blackjack I'm lucky to stay at 1 even a half hour. Poker is not about lying it is about playing the odds and reading your opponents tendencies. I guess if you call making a bet with a nothing hand a lie there may be some of that, but not for the most part. A bet is not a lie, it is a strategy.
