Just ordered a new RV 360. I have never used a rotary extraction tool of any kind. In addition to the regular head, I got a carpet brush head and the new tile head that doesn't require a vac ring.

Anyone got any tips for using this thing? I would prefer not to damage anyones carpet or tile during the learning process.

First throw away your wand!!! j/k
They only concerns I have are the tile or wood transitions. You can get really close with practice but you should probably start off edging it with the wand.

The other area is hvac vents, you'll need to edge them too.

Other than that you will be amazed at what you can do with it. Its actually enjoyable to run, just seeing the results!

Congrats!!! :headbang:

Be random with your strokes, make figure 8's and 4 leaf clovers type passes. Back and forth can create streaks on some piles.

ALWAYS groom/wand out the room before you move on to see if you missed any areas. PITA to come back in once you are on the other side of the house.

Use the 360i first THEN do your edging/trim work. Follow up with a quick dry stroke to remove the swirls, then groom if needed

DO NOT take the head off when the vacuum hose is on and connected. your felt ring will end up in your waste tank.

Check jets often for plugs/blockage

Don't fook around on glue downs.

Be aware of where seams are located and don't sit on them for too long, the intense heat will loosen the glue.

Run two inch hose all the way to the head.

Don't whack any tile or wood transitions. Practice your approach with a helper watching, it's hard to see just how close you are.

Run as low a psi as possible with your particular truckmount and go up from there. Many cleaners get great results with just house pressure using the CFX porty.

Call Marty a hack as often as possible.

Clean your way into a room, dry your way out.

Be random with the cleaning but uniform with the dry pass.

USE IT until you LOVE IT. Give it time. Practice.

When cleaning over seams have the soft edge of the 360 circle clean the seam, in other words (on RX-20 anyway) 360 from right to left across the seam to minimize the chance of seam damage.
