I tried a few months ago and couldn't get anywhere online. Figured I would try again today to get it on the books for 2015.

This is what I see...

I'm not sure why anyone would continue to try working with the IICRC for certification. The ICRA offers the exact same thing at substantial better prices, and you can actually talk with them. The standards are not going away, but why continue to waste time and money with the IICRC for certification needs?

I'm not a spokesman for IICRC, but I don't think you can renew on-line. Call one of the contact numbers and chat. If you don't have their number for renewal, I can look it up for you.

Things have improved, communications-wise the last month or so.

If that's true then it contradicts every invoice I've received from them that prompts you to pay online.

I got to the helicopters after clicking "Renew Online".

Eventually I was able to find the page I needed to pay for the renewal and the payment wouldn't go through. Same error code I got on the 26th of July, over 5 months ago.

Admittedly I've never called and tried to do it over the phone. Maybe it would be flawless, but the stories I've heard say that's not likely.

I'm not really upset or doing it to make a big statement, but enough is enough, and this guy has reached that point.

Q. How do I renew online?

A. Before you are able to renew online you will need to create an account. To get to the account creation page please click here. Once you have created your account you can log in by going here. Once you are logged in you will be on your Account Information page. Towards the bottom of the page you will see any renewal invoices that are due. If you have invoices to pay you will have an option to Pay Online. If for some reason you have invoices due and do not get the option to pay online or if you are having any trouble at all please contact us at 360-693-5675.

If you need help, phone Tony.:very_drunk:

Has anyone tried calling the IICRC to pay a bill or get your certificate? They can't answer the phone, are sending out bills 2 months late . They cashed my check, and it cleared my bank on 11/12/15 I just got a dunning letter in the mail, on Jan, 21 2016. the letter was dated 10/21/15 and said I had never paid my dues. I still don't have my card or certificate. When you call all you get is a please hold message for 15 minutes, and then a request to leave a message. Maybe it is time to switch!!

ICRA supporters pulled a coup and took over the IICRC back in October. The takeover used dissatisfaction with the slow certification process as leverage. Maybe by now they've realized the problem couldn't be fixed with a finger snap.

Or maybe that was just the way to get back in control. The obvious question is why a competing organization with competing certifications to sell would have an interest in improving their competition.

Can you be more specific Bryan

Are you saying all the IICRC board members were somehow removed (by who and how) and replaced with Jim Holland and Barry Costa and their friends?

How was that done if the former IICRC BOD was not in agreement?

Bryan, With all due respect vast majority of these comments are absolutely baseless. It is unfortunate that someone less informed might read them and believe they have any merit whatsoever.

Just to be clear, ICRA had nothing to do with the changes in the IICRC BOD. It is true that there was a group of people that manged to vote in new BOD members, but it was not organized by ICRA. It is also true that some of the new IICRC BOD members are representatives from our affiliated regional associations, but they are also shareholders in IICRC.

Neither I or Barry were not asked to be apart of the IICRC BOD and while I haven't asked Barry, I think that it safe to say that neither of us would accept such a position.

It has been our position to simply put our heads down and keep working on the things that we have heard that the industry would like for us to offer. The results so far have been encouraging and we would like to thank all of you that have been supporting us.

Jim(s) - ICRA supporters, not saying ICRA governance. It might have been convoluted, but I could have written that in a way that wouldn't have been misinterpreted as corporate plotting. I appreciate your professionalism in response.

Everything is controlled by the shareholders organizations, who vote for the people that will be on the IICRC board. It was, to say the least, a pretty screwy meeting.

The Council of Associations Board received an announcement last week that the new IICRC Board was removing a majority of the elected representatives on the Council Board and replacing them with their own people. Too bad, a non-political organization that would unite the industry organizations was a good concept, even if it has proven not not to be a realistic goal.

Two of the new board members are members of ICRA, Gary Glenn is one of them. I do not think Gary has a vote. Lonnie McDonald was one of the leaders for the change. Lonnie's goal was to be the new chair, but Pete Duncanson won instead. Lonnie is now the secretary. Some 65 instructors signed a 'vote of no confidence' against the board of directors at the October meeting. I believe that this was the major reason for the change. Darrell Paulson and Norm Maia decided not to run. Tony Wheelwright resigned as past chair at the last board meeting. Jeff Bishop was elected back to the board and now chairs the Education committee.

I took the Water damage certification last January. It took 6 months, 3 phone calls and 4 e-mails to find out if I had passed.
It is funny that some people actually stand up for the IICRC. A company the size of the IICRC would take 2 to at most 4 full time people to manage the entire day to day operation, and yet they can't even manage to do that. And don't give me the B>S> about it being a volunteer organization, I don't care about the rules committees, I just care about office operations.

If you want to do any warranty cleaning for carpet retailers you will need IICRC current status for you and your firm. I just lost a big cleaning contract because my IICRC certs have lapsed.

A few weeks ago I was touted as the BEST by them, now I am chopped liver, just because I don't have that little piece of paper.

Go figure.
