Anyone familiar with a hydracat 4.4 crossfire by hydramaster

This guy is trying to sell me one and I am just wondering if I should take a chance with it,It has been siting for quite a while,I am sure there are things that can happen when a trk mount sits for long periods of time,any tips on what I should look for,how about the hour meter,couldnt a person unhook to keep it from racking up hours.
It is kinda ratty looking.
I guess you could say I am a skeptic

I had one a few years ago and got rid of it after to many problems

from what I was told from the local mechanic was that they were either good or bad , nothing in between

Oh...the memories, I also had one few years ago and it was pretty much like Steve's, the mechanic spent more time with it than I did.
