Myself and a few other local cleaners have been getting harrassed by this loser. I already emailed the detective working on a case involving him and the case building against him.
It doesnt effect or hurt my standing with Yelp, its obvious what the comment is all about.

Ben does his own thing and doesnt stoop this low. I know who the guy is, he the areas low life. Hes been running a porty since 1988 and the local suppliers dont even know him.
I also have another review that gave me a bad rating say "how can I use a TM on the 7th floor."

Ya this guy is not Ben, and I agree with Brent. Ben would not go this low.
This guy is the guy that has more or less shut down the Snohomish County CL for carpet cleaners.
I've seen some entertaining posts by him and other cleaners fighting it out on CL.
I'd do what I can to track it back to him and go for the knock out punch!

if another cleaner posted that about you, that's f'd up. But it's interesting how on 9/23/09 you received a 1 star rating and then a 5 star rating?? Coincidental?? One of two things seemed to have happened...you got a bad rating first and countered it with a 5 star rating, OR you got the 5-star rating first and the a-hole mentioned above countered it with a bad one...but very ironic to have happened on the same day....don't you think?

He actually shut down the entire CL for the entire area. He has a downloaded auto flagger and he also has the ability to recieve text messages when a new post goes up. Mine and others are flagged almost before they come out. Its all good there are many other ways to get work. Of course I did get a $4,000 job off CL that I did last month so CL is a good way to get quality clients, its rare I got a trashed carpet from CL.
This dude also calls me from restricted number and doesnt say anything. Few other cleaners got the same call, he left me a message on my voicemail telling me my address. The cops said that doesnt count as a threat. I dont even bother posting on CL but still have to deal with this loser.

Why worry?
Just get a few reviews on top of it and it will be buried.
(Since most clients just read the top reviews.)
Get a couple of reviews a month and in time you'll send the other cleaners to the bottom.
The important thing you should consider is a having a plan that will drive clients to post reviews.
It doesn't happen by accident or wishful thinking.

Dealing with this guy is like dealing with a spoiled brat.
The guy who is doing it own a local company called Van Guard Restoraation. He runs a porty and charges 2 rooms and a hall for $45, he is the local dirtbag that harrass local companies that post on CL and NO CL wont do shit about this guy.
He uses an autoflag program you can get off the net. He is about to be sued by a couple of different people, so he will get whats coming to him legally.
