I have never rinsed out any TM I've had and have descaled them with toilet bowl cleaner (that my dealer sells) and I have never had any metal failure until the day before I sold my HM CDS. One of the heat exchangers failed at 25 years old. What a bitch. Replaced both exchangers at my cost of 1400 bucks without selling the van and machine for any more money.
