Are these shower and bath enclosures as cheesy as quarter round or?

I don't know,.. I would seriously consider giving any of these a go versus dealing with ground and caulking...

pretty typical direct to stud acrylic unit .
we've installed dozens *.
Nothing great, nothing bad if/when installed right

They say you don't need a mortar bed under the tub, but it's best to do so regardless.
Makes it easy to get perfect level, as well as 300 pounders and/or two folks in the shower getting slippery

*Don't know anything about the one with adjustable shelve corner kit.
Never put one up, they've all been the molded in type like the shower surround in first pic

and you do know, unless you have grande wide doors, or a small shower unit, you can't use a one pc surround
(those are for new construction before all the walls are up)

It'll last ten years. I installed an acrylic jetted tub when I was younger and dumber. Apart from being flexy-squeaky, it turns yellow where anything sits and the slick finish erodes.

Above it the walls are ceramic tile and regular grout. It's still perfect, no matter how much caustic cleaner I've used, so no more plastic for me.

I have them in my mobile home. But it's only about 3x3 when you stand in it

Not quite as cheesy…

I replaced my jetted tub with a steel/enamel one with a surround similar to the above ….with less shelves
