Make yourself a cheap flyer and leave one with each client. We did car interiors for years, always lots of them, RV's in need of cleaning. We we're getting $250.00 for them but we'd book a car or SUV and then get emergency work and HAVE TO finish the vehicle. It just didn't work out without business model but there is a market for it.

I have background in Auto detailing but only want the fabrics this time.

Seems to be a fairly good market around here as I have had more an more ask about it blindly not knowing.
The Sapphire Works
Awesome on interiors! They need to really market the Auto Guys with these tools!

Same here, Larry.....I reluctently clean auto interiors. Charge 'em high, chase 'em away, I say. Some of the new fabrics in cars aren't very friendly.

Right, I tell them it would cost less for them to take it to a car detailer...they don't need to run a 20000 dollar truckmount to mess around in those crevices all over the car twisting a 6'7" body around...

I feel like their $$ would be better spent with a detailer so I turn them on to one usually. If they just want me to clean just the seats, that I can do. Around here, you can have your car fully detailed (in and out) for @ $250. It would look awesome when finished.

I'd charge easily half of that and there would still be funk under the seats and in all the little crevasses that I can't reach with my tools.

If you have a background in it and like the work, get it man!! Seriously. Get the word out and be the best detailer around.

I'm detail focused and have seen and appreciate what a good detailer does. It's a craft in it's own and has some of it's own tools and such.

For us , it doesn't make a lot of sense. Customers have been surprised and happy that I will refer them to someone who can recondition the interior/exterior of their whip for a reasonable price.

That reminds me, I've been thinking of going in to the detailer that I recommend to see if maybe I could get ours done.

If it works for you right now Chris....DO IT!

I have done my share of auto's in the past.

Fortunately, I can now refer them to someone else and don't need that kind of work, but there were days, I did a lot of cars! (again a lot younger and skinnier :) )

If it will fill the schedule on down days, don't be idle if you can bring in some money until you grow your business to a point of being able to refer them too.

I loved cleaning the upholstery it always cleaned up nice. Fast easy cleaning.

I hate hate hate the carpet. It gets pounded to bupkis, sand and grit wear on it and discolor it. Never looked good in the worn spots.

My brother and family run a large upholstery shop.

First, the girls with air tools would have the seats OUT of the vehicle in less than 5 minutes, and the carpets OUT in another 5.

I can't imagine doing a great job otherwise.
