heres a couple of mystery clocks to check on them....
circa early fiftys.....
These Art deco clocks are so named because there is no visible mechanism connecting the hands to the motor of the clock. Correct time is actually kept by slow rotation of the glass and a counter weight on the rear side of the hands. These clocks are actually plated in 24 Carat gold.

Ya kid or family. The problem with clocks is I just like them so much that I cannot ever see selling them. Just had my local TM distributer offer to take some clocks on a trade to set me up with a TM lock stock and barrel. Dam pretty tempting. But them dam clocks got this grip on me that I just cannot shake LOL

In the "clock tradition" buying a crappy TM is like a cheap clock. Work as fast as you can, because you never know when it will stop...often with half a room left!

Are forming or has formed, they say it takes a mighty long time for the light of distant stars to reach the earth, I can only imagine what the actual age of these things you speak of actually are. It is all relative, after all!
