I picked up this little Astro Van with all the stuff I bought from a guy going out of business. Just got it back from the detailer and it looks pretty sharp. Thinking of keeping this and looking for a small slide in to install. Nice looking and low mileage. 159,000 kilometers. Just about 100,000 miles. Barely broken in.

I had a 97' Astro Van for about three years. I had my ETM in it. I got it with 87 K miles on it. Very reliable van, with great mileage, excellent handling, quiet, but powerful 4.3( if I'm not mistaken) engine. The radio and speakers were better quality than on my 2007 Chevy Express.
I got mine for $2350 with portable and other miscellaneous items inside the van. I bought it from young carpet cleaners, who needed that exact amount as a down payment for their
" hot ride".

This also came with an ETM. Maybe it was yours.

See if hydramaster has some extra parts to put another 4.2 in there. The transmission and brakes can't handle much, so a direct drive is the best option for that van

Not much difference in the weight from a 4.2 to a 4.8. the price is a killer though and they wouldn't put in an old van but that would be ideal. My other one works great.

Lol, my ETM Escape got picked up 8 years ago by a hotel owner, I bought a demo unit for 2 K, sold it for $2600.
I may have this one sold to a guy with a rug shop. I think this is where a machine like can really shine. Lots of power and flow for surface extracting rugs.

I had green 97 for years. Had a 3.2 Spittire😂 in it which was perfect for that. I had a water 60 gallon water tank in it. When I put janitor chimps in it, they tore it to shiate after awhile. We’d pull a 4/6 cargo trailer full of floor stripping equipment behind it all over Oklahoma. Those were the days!
