I called a supplier today about a part for my machine since I can't seem to get parts from POWERCLEAN INDUSTRIES, and was told the A15 Nissan motor was used in a 1976 Nissan B210 pickup truck w/ manual transmission. Since nobody seems to want to give up this info, I thought I would pass it on to help anyone who could use it.

The A15 is also used in a lot of forklifts. If you can find a forklift mechanic, they can usually get you the parts needed.

Doug,

I think the guy may have been wrong on the year also. The A15 was not produced for automobiles until 1979. In 1976, that would probably have been the A12 or A14.

I have an A15. Yesterday my starter plate cracked for the second time! The starter screeches because it doesn't fully engage the flywheel. An amish welder fixed the lower crack last time. Today he welded the upper crack! Only took him 10 minutes to weld and he only charged me $5! I gave him $10 since he helped me out on short notice.

I tell a lot of guys that my A15 use to run the Datsun B210s...always a good gearhead conversation piece.

Open your yellow pages, look for any local forklift repair shop - they usually have most anything for the a15 you'll need in stock, and at worst be able to have it in a day or so. And it is a TON cheaper than buying from anywhere else. I got plugs, wire set, and cap and rotor for about 30-40 bucks just a few days ago.

Actually he used a mig welder. I was concerned about his beard when all the metal/sparks were flying around. They have a generator that runs everything...go figure?

Only $5 to weld something...I just couldn't believe it! Last time he charged me $19.XX, but 5 dollar just shocked me...

It seems the B210 was only made til '79, so it must be a 210, which picked up after that.

I got an A12 sitting in the garage, on the '95 Performer. I think I'll crank it up this weekend. Was always a smooth runner.
