AW29 HS Glide findings..

The wings are too high off the ground for one but the bigger issue is the spray hits too far back from the vacuum slot, allowing water to travel to the sides too much imo..

I feel that if I have to tell cleaners that they're either going to need to buy a sheer kit of sorts or do anything mechanical other than sticking the glide on, it'll kill sales..

Thoughts'?

Simply sell the BG WITH a shear kit (jet extenders), and obviously charge for it…
Or, simply put a note with the BG to change to a narrower spray pattern….
Or, just recommend to turn down PSI….

No problems, just solutions…

If you need a beta, send me one at a discount!

Unless you’re somehow spinning the wand and creating centrifugal force, the water isn’t“traveling” to the sides. It’s called overspray and there’s likely nothing you can do about it. Moron

That is with 95° vs the stock 110°

I can reduce the back side of the glides so that the vacuum is closer to the jet spray which would help with pickup. But I still need to create some sort of shear angle

What I am looking to do with one of my older AW29's, is to cut off the supply tubes going to the jets. Attach a flare nut fitting (1\4 inch) and install either v-jets or t-jets on the ends and just bend the tubes to the correct position. I need to buy another wand first as I use both AW29's often.

Yes, but you can also get a 22.5 degree elbow…

I couldn't find any

80 degree is what Tractor Supply stocks, if you want to try those
That's the common angle for AG sprayers

unless I'm miss understanding...all that weight on soft malleable brake line supply lines with no support will be moving/jumping around every time you trigger the wand.

if the goal is to change the shear angle, grind off the weld of the fitting that holds the jet body, tilt/shim/reposition it as needed and tig weld it when done ..or JB weld it for testing purpose

I already tried '80s and they are inch and a half too narrow. Especially once the wand is lifted up with the glide. The 95s are the correct width but the Jets are so far back the shitty vacuum performance on this one. Can't pick it up quick enough

The supply lines are pretty rigid. I think once bent to the right angle, the won't move.

Pretty sure if you cleaning with a AW29 wand, chances of an “everyday” bdcc going through all the effort will never happen..

I understand your reasoning to “want to do it” but chances of a clueless guy doing all that work to make it work is far fetched..

But what do I know, I’m below a bdcc..

You are correct and if I can't make simple and effective, I probably won't bother
