Customer- the other day- had a room where she didn't want anything done. I noticed a rug in there so I ended up looking at it closer.


Very soft leather actually with some kind of animal hair underneath.

The leather is machine embossed and laser cut. Outside of setting up the embosser, no artisans were involved in the making.

If the owner walks on it wearing anything but socks the finish will be damaged very quickly and when it needs cleaning it'll be a PITA.

It really should probably be hung rather than walked on. Machine made or not, it's beautiful.

It is in a room that is never used. Only foot traffic is the maid -once a month to open windows and do light wipe down dusting.
