Yes and you should but it does not eliminate the possibility of damage completely

I've sold a pre visit to to apply silicon in the gap once or twice..

Baseboards shouldn't be waxed ever. I know how tuff is to be cleaned after 10+ years... some people doesn't know what are they doing...Cameron has mentioned before whenever using stripper to warn client baseboards will get messed up...if you warn them up front and show them...u actually get paid when the job is over
