Aparently, the customer used salt to get up a bunch of red wine that spilled on it..and wants the rest removed..any suggestions? The obvious would be red relief..but i get scared using any of those bleaches on natural fibers.

Pre soak the areas with some 3% after vacuuuming

Apply your pre conditioner, agitate and rinse.

If the wine spots are still there take the pieces out into the full sun and let them site with enough 3% to submerge the stained fibers. The UV and heat will get the rest out usually in an hour or less then neutralize/rinse those areas with your hand tool.

I will just add one thing, vacuum with your upholstry tool and rinse it with just water and extract very well(to get it as dry as possible)then apply the 3%.What people say and do,are sometimes two different things and you dont want a chem reaction problem.

I would rinse out as well with water only not hot. I make a solution 3 % mix with ammonia. (ex) 4 oz of 3 % mix 4 oz ammonia clear to 8 oz of water. Rinse out .

We would rinse and use Stainmagic for wool, if they client is willing to take on the risk.

Her stain, not my stain.
