What's the best, fastest, non-inline sprayer?

I don't like in-lines because of their inaccurate metering when hot.

I 2nd that. I use one daily, and it is great KNOWING what your dilution ratio is. Being able to custom mix the prespray for each carpet is a plus.

they discontinued the nearest to perfect sprayer there ever was

http://www.rotovaccorp.com/sprayers-hydroforce.html

a 1.6 gpm Flowjet pump, 3 gal capacity and super wide opening to mix chems.
With an 08 flow tip, it will pump right at 1 gpm (about the same as an in-line)
You can't find them anymore

what's left on the market now are sprayers the size of small portys (which are too damn big and bulky for res work)
The Omni sprayer (do they still make that foolishly large for a little container sprayer?)
The Multi-Sprayer, which is an excellent sprayer, just wish it had more than 2 gal capacity.

The sprayers that utilize a Flowjet or Surflow pump with a minimum rating of 1.6gpm open flow is what you need for "in-line" like flow rates.

Note, the GPM flow is more important than the PSI

an old porty, with a bigger pump to push 100' if needed...

I have one that does 75' pretty easy, though i usually do 50' park it at the front door and go.....or take it in to the commercial building so you can refill as needed...

10 gallons is great on bigger commercial

Bryan, I "think" it's an 8008 .
that's what the farm supply store stocks...all different flow rates , but all are 80 degree spray angle
I "guess" the industry standard for ag sprayers is 80 degree angle

Yesterday I did a decent sized Cimex job and thought I would try using the Mytee Boss instead of the Cimex tank. Loved it!

I believe Mytee uses a Shurflo pump

personally, I think Flojets are better pumps..but that's kind of like a "Ford vs Chevy" thing

"most powerful" doesn't mean much in and of it's self.
"flow rate" is where it's at.

stick with the stock Flojet recirculating pump that the Multi-Sprayer comes with.
There's no need to modify it.
Stick an 08 flow jet on the wand and you'll get right around 1 GPM

I've bucket tested my sprayers (all have the 50-60 psi Flojet recerc pump)
The sprayer with stock 6506 jet pumps 1 gal in 75 seconds.
The sprayer with a 10 year old (plenty worn) 08 flow jet pumps 1 gal in 55 seconds

Hmm I wonder if John could design a lid with build in bucket heater,, just think bring your sprayer in and plug in while you prevac and bam,, ready to go hot prespray! Sometimes its very nice to have heat, and it doesn't take all that much to turn down the heat on the truck. Not to mention, certain oxidizing pretreatments and even some enzymes get activated with hot water, I can mix a prespray cold like O2 or an enzyme and when i pretreat, it will activate where it should, at the carpet!
