I've read that some guys are using wallpaper steamers to treat red stains. I found this one on craigslist. What is the best spotter for this type of machine? I've seen a video of someone using this directly on the carpet with no towel. Would this be safe on wool or other natural fabrics? Anyone using this or similar machine on upholstery?

You can't use a normal red removal product on wool. You have to buy one specific for wool. For synthetic carpets, they all work, pretty much. So, just buy whatever. But, the wallpaper steamer is key. Much better than a damp towel and an iron.

The steamer is a great tool, but like any powerful stain removal product, be sure to test your result in an inconspicuous place.

No towel needed, but sometimes the area where the steam comes from the tube gets hotter than the rest of the area. Rotate the head once in a while to even out the heat.

The steamer is general safe for wool but the red remover product may not be. You can get one specifically for wool (Red Relief for Wool) or you can dilute RedZONE Ready with an equal amount of distilled water.

Larry - Is it ready? Also, is something changing in a few more weeks? Sorry I missed you when you were close - I had to go to a wedding...
