I gotta thank SS for their tech help on my Blueline Thermalwave. SS supplies tech help on the BL's. I was blowing out the fan relay ever fifty hours or so, and looked to SS for help, along with Jim Pemberton and his staff. Got ahold of Scot Harib, of SS, and he diagnosed the problem via phone. Seems the blade connector going to the relay was loose fitting, which was causing the fan wire to heat up red hot. I thought the fan was drawing too many amps and causing the relay to blow. Replaced the connector and it now stays cool with no relay problems. Remember, loose electrical connections = electrical problems. Who would have thought that a loose but decent connection could and would cause problems.
I now have 10 extra - 40 amp, 5 pin relays in the parts drawer. Good thing they were only $7 a piece from Graingers.
