The black light failed to reveal urine spots on astroturf in doggy training area. But it did find an area that had diarrhea.
Why would that be?
The place didn't smell of urine but the client claims there are many. They do clean up the spots when they happen? so maybe that's why light didn't work.
The site glass in the Zipper did help in locating the problem areas.
I'm very glad we had the Shark to pre-vacuum. It had to be emptied about 30 times, proving Vacuums with bags are a big fail.

Urine isn't easily seen on polypropylene (Astroturf) and polyester with a UV light; more so on nylon and wool.

non-absorbent fibers, slides right off . Seen a ton of saturated polys, that stink, but show nothing under UV light. pull it up and WOW!

Your killing yourself vacuuming with such a small vacuum. You need a wide area vacuum. You may be able to rent one locally

You need to cover the entire area with the liquid enzymes and get a rear slotted glide for your zipper. Turn up your psi to 700 when hwe and it's good to have a second person going right after you with a wand extracting only. And get some extra vacuum cleaners

We sprayed With U-Turn the night before.
The Zipper has slotted glides on both ends. PSI was 500 with 12 flow.
Mostly did one slow wet pass, followed by a slow second dry pass. I kneeled on a section I had cleaned an hour before to check dryness and my pant knee was dry.
We did a little over 5000 sq ft in about 5.5 hours.
Why do I need extra vacuum cleaners? I have two.

Just to get more people vacuuming to speed up your efficiency.

I’m glad you were able to treat it the night before.

Vacuuming astroturf really?
Breathing all of that contamination with vac blowby into your lungs?
How stupid

Same goes for vacuuming PISS FILLED carpet in a house
Endanger everyone with viruses and who knows what else

Have you seen the filters on the Shark Vacuum?
Science has proven that the current virus dies rather quickly on surfaces.
We did apply U-turn the night before, which I would think, would kill this virus.

I currently don't vacuum for residential jobs. I require the customer does that the night before.
I'm thinking about adding the vacuuming service to help save water due to the current megadrought.

Wrong.
I use to sell and repair Orecks.
The bag technology can not compete cyclonic vacuum technology.
Bags are so 1950'

Wrong.

You've already admitted to not being a pre-vacuumer so your real world experience is lying to you, as was whoever taught you how to work on vacuums.

I admit-- I should use the vacuum more. It IS a critical step. But it's a cost-cutting issue.
My use of, or lack of, has nothing to do with the performance of a vacuum when used.
