I have a HydraMaster Boxxer 427 and the high pressure pump has a slight leak. I want to replace it but don't really want to get robbed by the high price HydraMaster charges for their replacement part ( Hydrapump V - Comet Triplex Plunger Pump - 5.56 PM -3000psi.)
the pump is a Comet and has the FW-5530 S on it.
I found another Comet pump online at (http://WWW.SHOPETSONLINE.COM/COMET-PUMP ... 403.00.htm) for 350.00 less than JonDon or interlink supply.
also I am not sure what the HM stands for in the model description FW-5530-S-HM
My question is this... Does anyone know if this pump is the same model as the Hydramaster V and will it work on the Boxxer 427???
Thank you in advance for any help on this.
ps HydraMaster has discontinued the Boxxer 427. They had a deal with Tuthill Vaccum & Blower to make the 4007 Blower for the boxxer specific only to the Boxxer. Tuthill 4007 blowers retail for about $3000.00, but if you want one for the Boxxer 427, you are going to pay about $7000.00 as Hydramaster will maintain their deal with Tuthill on this blower and make over $5000.00 profit on each sale.
Now that's smart on their part, but it puts a burden on the people who put them in business in the first place, their customers.
