Now that we have a sizable group that own these crb units, let's clarify the somewhat foggy details about these so called "identical" machines.

Rick has already answered -kind of sort of - part of it.

Question 1: just how identical the 10" brushpro and brush encap really? (just because both come from the same place, is not a satisfactory answer)

Question 2: are both of those units have sealed motors or is that not the case?

Question 3: can either of them be used in a washpit? (here is where Rick already said that there are differences - which in my opinion are huge differences because I was under the impression that they can be used in a washpit and I had the brush encap unit it there already)

Question 4: If the motors and gears are not sealed, can it be used on tile+grout scrubbing where it might be in a lot of moisture splashing around? (I have done a number of those jobs with the brush encap/group buy fame machine) did I start ruining it?

Can you dealers give straightforward (!!) clear answers why and what is different really- aside from pricing.

Question 2: are both of those units have sealed motors or is that not the case? Both of the 10" machines are approved for use on wet surfaces such as tile cleaning. Neither of these is approved for use in standing water.

Question 3: can either of them be used in a washpit? (here is where Rick already said that there are differences - which in my opinion are huge differences because I was under the impression that they can be used in a washpit and I had the brush encap unit it there already)
No independ testing organization has approved the 10" models for use in standing ewater such as a wash pit. Some cleaners choose to use it there. A GFCI is definitely advised for use in standing water with the 10" machines.

10" machines can be used for tile and grout cleaning, wet surfaces, places where water is splashed and so forth but not instanding water.

The differences are in the larger sized machines. The Bursh Pro 17" and 20" models do have the sealed electrical area. They are both ECL (I think that is the correct organization) approved for use in standing water up to 2" deep. These are suitable for use in a wash pit. The water can splash anywhere on the machine and be OK. I would still use a GFCI as a back-up plan. The larger sizes from our competitor are not rated for use in standing water.

The main drive gear is metal on the Brush Pro. Plastic geras are hardened. So, a more durable drive train than the competition. Should last longer, but I know of know laboratory testing to compare the two versions.

My information says the motors in the Brush Pro units are more powerful. Less likely for the machine to bog down when cleaning a deep pile or dense pile rug or carpet. I only have the specs for the Brush Pro. So, I can not compare the two to be certain of this. Reg should be able to give details whenever he gets on-line again.

Go.

I think Reg is enjoying himself in the DR for a few days. I will give my best answers. Added after each question.

List pricing for both 10" machines is the same. The only difference would be whatever Reg has agreed to for the special group buy. Your choice of two extra sets of brushes (plus the standard brush that comes with the machine) is part of the group buy special. Interlink is paying the shipping. Either source is likely to give you some free product when you order. Interlink is giving a case of Encapuclean Green DS.

Interlink is offering $200 of the list price for either of the larger machines during the gorup buy special. You would also get 2 extra sets of brushes and free shipping and free case of encapsulation product from Interlink as part of the group buy.

Since Reg and I are traveling this week and next (to The Experience inAtlanta) the group buy is being held open until we get back to the office after the Experience. Still time to get in on the deal. Group buy is for any sized machine.

Anymore questions?
