Im starting to think R and D at the Butler is going south

The Butler Corporation is pleased to introduce a newly designed, optional, 2-1/2" quick disconnect to accommodate 2-1/2" hose for the Butler System's "live" Vacuum Hose Reels. Constructed of durable lightweight aluminum, with dual "O" ring seals, a grease fitting and a quick lock release for easy hose removal. Quick disconnect is also available to convert Butler System Vacuum Hose Reels currently in use

I bought my newest Butler with the 2.5 inch hose reel. I carry 100 feet of 2.5 on the reel and break it down in 25 foot sections. Plug off the live reel after I pull off what I want and have a Greenie "Y" splitter set up. I carry into the house 50 foot of 2 inch hose as my lead line. I like the set up. I also use 2.5 inch on my older butler, but no live hose reel set up. You can update to a new 2.5 inch on older models, but you need to replace half of the reel or a least the one leg with the hose hook up.

Mine has the quick disconnect and it can be a bitch wrestling with the hook up inside the hole of the hose reel. It is easier to disconnect and fight with the hose hook up out of it.
