Very reliable
Available with 2.5" hose reel
Hi heat option gives you great flow at 230+ degrees
Huge 210 gal waste tank lets you operate all day without dump issues
All stainless steel lifetime tanks
Simple operation--very crew friendly
Pretty quiet
Fits in a standard garage
Can be operated complete closed and locked.
Great customer service.
Quick connects on all plumbing for quick easy swap-out of unloader or pump
Cat pumps may run 6-7000 hours without a rebuild.

That's all I got off the top of my head but I'm sure others will chime in with many more.

No big cons other than blower size and heat limitations for you suction and heat heads.

I have one, and I only have two complaints: first, the truck won't last nearly as long as the unit. If it were a slide-in, I could put it in another truck. Second, they're in Massachussetts, so in-person repair isn't an option. You have to be able to do the work yourself. That said, the work is very simple.

Mine was 5 years old and had been abused when I got it, but it has been rock solid. I'm not super mechanical, so when things have gone wrong I worried a lot, but every time but one, Butler's service department has been able to get me up and running over the phone. The one time they couldn't because there was a broken part, they fedexed it to me and gave me instructions on how to install over the phone.

For peace of mind, it would be nice to have a place to bring it to when it's not working, but I really can't fault their business model. The thing is very reliable.

Really. If there is a White Magic distributor near you, you'd be much better off with a WM Pro1200 which is built more heavy duty and lasts longer and does everything a Butler will do. Unlike Butler, they have set up distributors around the country for maintanence they will do quickly and get you back to work instead of waiting for the UPS truck to deliver you their repair parts. But either company is a good choice for a very low problem machine.

Ours definately outlasted it's van. ROCK solid. The fact that they now offer a ten year guarantee (when Prochem just got the nerve up to offer a two year) says a lot about their unit.

If I were sure GM would be around in ten years I'd definately consider one.

Thanks,
Lee

I started the business not even knowing what a Truck Mount was. I have always been able to fix everything by my self. Easy and dependable.

i have had 3 butlers and am running 2 now..i have used many different truck mounts from pto to slide in's..
as i have stated in the past..if i were given or if i were to win another unit i would sell it and buy another
butler....the big problem with all the service centers people talk about is that you are at the mercy of
the mechanic..no matter how hung over, pissed off at his boos, mad at his wifr, getting ready to lose
his house or whatever his problem that he want to take out on your equipment is..you will never know
about that bolt that he broke, or that wire that he snipped and just taped together, or that small crack
that he doesn't feel like dealing with right now that will come back on you later..you are better off
learning your equipment yourself, and with a butler with all the support there is NOTHING easier to work
on than a butler...and you WONT be working on it often so it doesn't matter anyway!!

I've never heard anything bad about Butler, only positive stuff. I'm sure you won't regret it if you get one.

There's a lot of options out there.

Dave ...speaks the truth.!!!

I left the BUTLER corperation...in 08..in search of BIGGER blowers & more HEAT...

The improvements to the new Butlers.."I understand"...are significant...!

I ran Butlers for 15 years...." You WILL become a mechanic...But they are very SOLID units...

Down time with a Butler..."Can be significant"...just waiting for parts...ALTHOUGH the warranty
is good...There policy is for you to PRE-PAY for parts & shipping in ADVANCE....

They will CREDIT...or...Refund your money, only after the have inspected the part...
Warranty parts...will be shipped freight free..."IN 5 to 7 DAYS".. :x If you want overnight
"YOU" pay the differance in freight....!!!!!!

It was hard to find a DISTY...to work on my Butler Unit's...They are NOT well liked among
their competators.. If..I was not 1200 miles away...I would have had a better experiance...

IMHO...all of their GREAT tech's...were promoted to sales...then the service went down hill. :(

Even with my somewhat negative post... If...I had to choose only ONE unit to have in my
business..IT would be a BUTLER... :!:

I personally had much better success when they were installed in the G-VANS... :D

At 100k miles...the Savannah Vans were SHOT... thathurts

I had one.

Would not buy another.

Way too much $$ for the result you get at the end of the wand.

Not enough room left over in the van.

Hard on the dainty GMC van.

I'd like another Butler in a box, they make great dual purpose WDR/Carpet cleaning trucks.

Plus they hold more equipment then our regular water trucks and yet they are smaller in size than the Isuzu's.

We have dozens of Butlers, including one in a box for WDR. Great units, Savanna vans run forever and heat & suck works great!

Ken

Ken,

When I priced out the GMC 4500..in 08.."With all the bells & whistles..it was 87k...

At that time the only offer the 10'6" box..

The isuzu NPR is the GMC 4500.... :!:

The just change the emblem on the front of the truck...Chevy gets the bowtie...GMC gets
the red GMC letters...The dealer changed my emblem for free...
