Calling to update your free online listing.

I get a call about once a week from someone that barley speaks English wanting to update my listing on some online directory. I always hang up on them assuming it’s a scam. How does it play out if you stay on the line? Am I missing out on free listings and backlinks?

When they call me, they are looking to sell pay for clicks and featured listings that go on top of the searches.

I get those a lot, I never give them much thought. I'm more concerned about where my info is going, ie someone's "list" where I get more calls

i get these once a week as well. i only tried one...Manta i think it was. 1 month for $20. i got zero calls from it. the rest i simply tell them to put me on their Do Not Call list.
