I was using a steamer on my pants then placed the steamer on my lazy boy recliner. Thought the steamer was cool enough. Obviously not....urg!

I don’t think anything can be done about the melted fabric but I maybe wrong? 8743887439

Scrape a sharp razor blade over it?

Try to skim off the chunky stuff.

Its delicate work but doable. Might be a bald spot but it will look and feel better.

Put a towel in it.

In the grand scheme of things, it is not worth any fretting over.
hate seeing it everyday reminding me of how careless I was...I should have know better....it’s one of those things that says...’why did I do that!

sanding? I’ll try it.

I may try a magnifying glass and pointy snips to snip off the burn.

As for color repair...rule is light can go to dark but dark will not go to light. At least that’s been my experience and what Jeff Cross taught me years ago in his color repair class.
