Can someone tell me what glide is on this wand

I have a holed glide but I really don't like using it on residential carpet because it has slots on the very end which I guess are there to pick up debris. The concept is good, but the slots leave a weird pattern in the carpet. I used it on three homes and every single customer complained so I had to groom all of the carpet out. I think a hybrid or slot glide would work best for residential and leave a more natural looking pattern in the carpet. I want to keep one of my wands without a glide so I think a hybrid would work best for cgd and residential. Am I wrong? Would a slot be best all around? Should I keep the hole glide and put a slot on the other wand? I need some advice from people using Prochem 4 jet wands.

You can get the hole glide without the edge cleaning channels. Call and I'll exchange no charge, no problems. if you prefer you can get a slot. The hybrid will leave lines similar to the edge cleaning channels on the hole you have now.

Take care,

shouldn't the carpet get groomed regardless of the pattern the wand makes?

Does grooming add more money to your pocket? I think not. I don't mind grooming a few rooms but not 10. Also I have been getting the feeling lately that people are just ready for me to get the hell out of their home or do the job a little faster. I always groom after spraying protector or if I have to walk back on a carpet, but for the most part I don't groom unless I have a helper with me then they groom. It really just depends on the carpet. Either way you are going to have groom marks. I just don't want to leave any footprints in the carpet.

I haven't groomed a carpet since the 70's when I would rake the shag carpets after cleaning. I usually skip the prevac also. Why waste your time and the customer's money on extraneous nonsense? Just get er done and git out.

I groom more than a few. Anything that corn rows gets raked. Why would any cleaner leave the Bac Gamon board?????? I guess he has the need to let everybody know a first class CHIMP did the job.

Sometimes I groom. Usually I don't.

That is a very worn SLOT glide, you can clearly see the bridge marks.

Should have saved some money on that temp gauge and wand sticker and bought a new glide.
