That smell might be "Undo" deodorizer to mask the oder of the the mystery stench.

I have made that same mistake when booking a room in the past. Nowadays though they have this thing called 'on-line reviews'.

It's a pretty handy tool, maybe you should look into it next time you book a hotel/motel.

This takes me back to the days of living on the road in the 80's showing truck mounts to the world.

On those nights that weather events made me choose the first available motel, I spent more than a few nights sleeping fully clothed on top of the blankets with my coat for a pillow so that I minimized contact with anything in the room.

Still, I brought back bed bugs once
