We often repair and/or restore machines at Excellent Supply. Rodney does a super job working them over. In this case, the machine you see here was pretty rough.

It received a new motor, new tank, new tank bracket, new lifting rod, new Big Boy Wheel Kit, new set of pad drivers, new brush pulley bearing, new belt, new switch knob, new Kodiak cord, new bumper shield, new cable hook, new swivel clamp rod, new switch box cover, new pivot bracket. In other words - it's a nicely refurbished machine!

Shown next to a brand new Cimex to show how it compares.

From my perspective it's the bumper Rodney missed that gave it away.

What's the cost of a total refurb like that verses a new one?

It totally depends on what the machine needs. In this case the machine needed a new motor, so that added considerable cost. It really all depends on what the actual machine requires. Labor is charged by the hour, and then whatever parts are required goes on top of that. Rodney is pretty efficient at tearing down a machine to its core. From there he repaints it and reassembles it along with any needed parts. We've done several of these full restores and they always turn out beautiful! We had a local guy come in and pick up a restored Cimex last week and he was so elated he ran over and hugged his Cimex. Wish we got a video of that. :)

Hi Rick,
How often do you have used/refurbed cimex units for sale? Are they only for sale locally at your store? Tired of seeing total used up pieces of junk for sale for top dollar.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill
We seldom see used machines come through. In fact the machine you see here was traded in to us. It sold last Friday, a few days after it was restored.
