Is there a such thing? It costs literally twice as much in many cases as 2". Do any of you know where to get a good deal on inexpensive decent quality vac hose?

You are going to get what you pay for.. get ahold of John, Greenie, or Les. Bite the bullet and get some of the 2.5" superflex and be done with it. Depending on the machine you are running you may also need a manifold to allow 2.5" hose to interace with your truckmount's waste tank. Greenie can fix you up there as well.

David here is some help, even if you could source some 2.5 "cheaper", it's a BIG box, and cost a mint to ship these days UPS, the you aren't even sure you got a reasonably flexible, lightweight, quality product.
So if you can pick up local, or ship a short distance and save some money on shipping, you just might be ahead, and possibly be making a business relationship with someone local like Judson Labs that will pay back dividends for your business technical questions and chemistry advice years down the road.
Plus, you could also pick up some quality 2.5" hose adapters, connectors etc...
