I must be really hard on equipment or lots of stuff is junk.
I don't really abuse stuff or do some of you have the same problems.
Stuff I broke:
2 drimaster tools (the new ones)
1 drimaster tool (the old style)
3 rotary drimasters
1 westpac hydrosonic wand
1 mytee redline spinner
1 prochem tile edging tool
5 Vortex drive shafts
2 butler drive shafts
1 blueline auto pump out
1 blueline electric hose reel
1 bruin II kubota engine
1 hydroforce "hoser" hose cleaner
1 Vortex lower heat exchanger

The list can go on, but this is the major stuff. I must be the polar opposite of king Midas. Instead of everything I
touch turning to gold, it turns to junk. Anyone want to buy a Hydramaster Titan before it breaks?

Kevin,

I've been pretty lucky or careful which ever applies. I don't think that I have ever broken anything. I did have a tech for a short time that seemed to break everything. He was just plain clumsy. He cost me over a 100 just the first week in broken and lost items. Most of my stuff still looks new. Even my machine looks new,(coming up on 3 or maybe it's 4 yrs now), except for the powder coating which rubs off with water. Blueline redid it once for free but it still rubs off. I have a local guy getting ready powder coat it again. You probably just don't know your own strength.

Damn, you don't need employees. I know nothing about Vortexes but how on earth did you wreck the Butler drive shafts?

I don't think I have broken much in a customers home. I broke a cheap picture onetime. My little brother broke a 55gallon fish tank once with the vacuum manifold of a slow speed RX 20. Boy what a mess that was. I tried to put the exotic Fish in a bucket from the van, but it had some Haitian cotton shampoo it it that killed them. That was a 1000k mistake!

The 2 new hm dri tools have a seam down the middle of them, my tm has too much vacuum even
in the lowest setting, it collapses the tool at the seam and the metal top lip pops off.

If I can fix them I probably need a vacuum relief in line somewhere to stop that from happening.

Wow that's quite a list, we are rough on stuff, but you're a one man wrecking crew!

My guys are tough on the equipment because they don't have an idea of the value of it or they simple don't care.

But it's your stuff and you're busting it up?

Holy crap, that's a lot of busted junk. 5 Vortex drive shafts!?!?! Wow! Must be a design flaw.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. Couldn't resist.

I liked that Kevin put the $1000 exotic fish in a bucket with haitian cotton shampoo and killed it. That's like in Naked Gun when Leslie Nielsen killed all of Ricardo Montalban's exotic fish with his comedy of errors. Funniest scene ever in a movie.

Actually I think Kevin said it cost 1000k which is one million dollars. Ouch, that's some fancy fish!
