the thing will be a pile of rust in a month.....not to mention that the shaft will try to rust shut and you will be down to about 2 flow................

Everyday is Saturday.
Those last about a year or so. Just don't ever drain your solution line and make sure there is always water in the lines. For it to rust it needs air.
These are not quality reels and are not price like they are. If you wanted to try a reel and see if you like using a reel I think they are priced very well for such.
