if you are using a
hydramaster bobcat or aquacat or an old
hydramaster you have a Dema proportioner. A chemical pump is used on the cat pump itself to draw the chemical. Don't even worry about a chemical pump for this problem you don't have one.
Your machine mixes the chemical with water in a mix tank then runs it gravity fed into your pump. Your dema valve has two 12 volt slip fit connectors on it. use a test light to see if when you drop the level of the float if it sends 12 volts to that valve. If you dont get twelve volts then you have an automotive relay gone bad either on the otherside of the mix tank or behind the machine panel. It sounds like a wiring issue.
Personally you can go to any
hydramaster distributor and get a mix tank retro fit kit that will eliminate all this stuff. It doesn't work too well anyway
