I have a Cobb knock off machine....I have no chemical injection system on it.
It has an inline tap before the pump...what type of device do I need to add
so I can have chemical injection. So I can rinse with something other than
straight water when the occasion calls for it.

the little glass meter you see on most machines is called a Dwyers meter,,,,,
you can hook up a draw system to draw an emulsifier OR a rinse of your choice.......

Bob, won't the pressure from the hose bib affect the draw? I have a Dema 203B along with a flow meter to add to my extraction water. I use a fresh water tank.

Ain't that kinna a hillbilly way.....you don't need a Dema proportioner....
You use the Dywers to meter.....

It came that way from Turbo Tech. I never tried it without the Dema. I'll give it a try, it may work better.

I have a 110 gallon fresh water tank...to machine with water box and float valve...a flojet pump feeds it fine.
Inline with the pump...they put a "Y" with a manual shut off....and that is it..I guess it is gravity feed to the pump......
...I don,t mind redneck solutions...in fact...i thrive on them.

My PowerClean machine has a water box filled by a Flojet. It has a Dema 204C installed just before the box and a Dwyer flowmeter on the dash to adjust the flow.

I thought about putting a quick connect on a dema valve ($25 at dultmeiers) and connect it on the front panel 's quick connect for your solution hose. Yellow tip at 1-8 dilution.

Whether that would work I don't know but I would try it. That way there is no cleaning solution going thru your pump.

This is that solution

You slightly starve the pump by closing the valve a bit forcing the pump to draw from the chemical feed

You would be better off doing it the right way though

HOWEVER you don't need that proportioner valve.....and don't forget the footvalve that goes in the jug
Or it will back flow and overflow yor Chem jug...
OPPS....I jus blew up the pic and see
The foot valve.....
Very good Fred.....nice work......

Your pump will siphon the rinse from the tank..... there is no need for all the extra bs these companies add ...

Like Bob said , don't skimp on foot valves... northern tool has brass ones with a glass ball in them that we use...

Simple simple simple

I have a real Cobb unit and LOVE it anyway just replace it with a in line ball valve 1-4 inch size/ Connect both line and place the valve under the unit below the motor. You control your flow by setting the valve at your setting. wide open of closed for just fresh water only. Works great about 4 years now and no problems. jz.

You can buy a Dwyer with the flow meter (all one unit) so you don’t starve The pump as you limit the solution feed. It’s on “that side of the T fitting”. If that makes sense.

Meter is on the diagram. Starving the pump is what causes it to make up the needed water via the chem input. The pump isn't actually starved though.

Can you diagram what you mean?

the previous pic shows the Y off the line going into the pump...this was the machine when I got it.
I hired Cobbs ex employee to build an new exhaust manifold ...move the pressure regulator to the front of the machine.
machine works good....I just want to add an injection system...i mean it pulling a # 4 blower and the same general pump cobb puts on his new machines
.....for $2,500....it works...not fancy like a butler...but...what areas it lacks in ...I make up for when I pull the T-Rex off the trailer.

Looks like that unit was built Larrys dad Mr Cobb many years past. I have the base 2045 about 8 yrs old and it runs @ 240 water temp atm. The units does what it was made for and is good at it. Ive had other units much more costly and caged and hard to repair. The only other unit like Cobbs is in Largo Fl & is Johns Truckmount repair now run by Don in Largo. Its your choice and your money so. We all have to start somewhere to learn but it can get expensive in the learning process . jz.
