I have come across Chemmax corporation through one one of my suppliers. They manufacture primarily cleaning solutions for area rug cleaning. They have some very unique products such as their Rayon rug shampoo. Perfect for viscose rugs. Silk rug shampoos, LST which stands for low surface tension, very versatile product. Specialty products such as Navajo rug shampoo, anti-dye and other products to control or reverse dye bleed. Easy to talk to people who are more than willing to help you out. If you clean area rugs, you need to check them out.

The POM's who came out here probably thought it was easier to call it that than by its other name given by the earlier settlers , which was
Te Whanganui-a-Tara.
