Cimex machine pads ??

Can you use regular buffing pads cut to size for cimex machine?? I mean could you take a red buffing pad and cut it into 3 cimex sized pads and clean that way???

We've never tried it but only because we don't have buffing pads on hand.

I'd test it first, don't want to leave red on the carpet. Plus some pads don't hold up as well as others. Some shred and cause you more time post vacuuming.

The texture of a red pad would be close to the right texture for carpet. But some red pads have been known to leach their color. So be careful to test them first, if you decide you want to use them.

P.S. Why not just use pads that are designed for carpet cleaning?

This is what we have Mike. FiberPlus pads are long lasting, and perfect for all carpet types. And we have FiberPlus Max for loop commercial carpet. The FiberPlus Max are more aggressive and scrubs about 20% faster on heavily soiled loop carpet.
