Commercial glue down carpet. High rise buildings only. No residential. I have been using the cimex for years, but am ready to purchase a new machine. I would like input about the Hos Machines from anyone who knows them well, as I have never used them before.

I have the Sprayborg and it is a good machine. Handle folds down if you want to put it in a smaller vehicle. I also have a Trinity Phoenix. Both have good build quality but the Phoenix is faster. Both use the same 2.5 gallon jugs. I prefer that over a fixed tank like the Cimex or the Vibe. With the fixed tanks, you can run into problems with foaming when you try to refill them. I have over a dozen jugs which I fill at my shop prior to going to the job. On the highrise buildings I do, I can usually get 3 hallways done with one jug. Sometimes more. If I was going to buy another machine, it would be a Phoenix. I sold my Cimex machines after buying the Phoenix.

This is what you want.

Put the HOS to shame in many ways

My zombie green Phoenix is one fast, well-engineered, solid machine.

Thank You for the response. I like the idea of the smaller jugs for the foaming and ease of not having to lug the cimex down to level one just to fill. or into the deepsink room.

I have a smaller van that gets into underground parking. I usually get to park near the elevator. I bring the machine, one jug, one pad up to the top floor. One microfiber will last until you have to replace the jug. Pop down the elevator and grab another jug and pad and away you go.

honest question
from someone that considers bonnet cleaning a scummy method
..only eclipsed in scumminess by Cimex

what are we supposed to be seeing?
the bonnet not rotating on the other two?

I'm trying to be nice today. I'm sure they are all good. I can say from my experience the Cimex is king at covering massive amounts of sqft'age quickly.

The prices on all these units are just nuts. (Matt on Damon's Commodore) Look for something on the secondary market. I got my Cimex used for $1400.

Correct, the ( more expensive) 0rbot and the not sold anymore Mytee dont spin.
You can get a Mytee Wholesale from the Chinese. Maybe I'll import 50 and start selling them. I can rebrand it the "Nomad". Ha, not really, the profit margins are to tight. You should check out the CRB's also. Once again, the margins are too tight. But I guess it's worth it if you own a store that sells the equipment.

I congratulate John on his retirement. He was a driving force behind Mytee. It looks like it's slowly fading away without him. Maybe I'm wrong, just my opinion.

hi jeff, off topic. do you or a friend have a portable machine? since you have encapped with cimex for so long i think it would be fun to wet out a traffic lane and see what comes up into the wastetank. Mikey had a video of a dining hall he cimexed 10 times and then he hwe with the AT and the water was pure mud. I don't think encap works the way people want it to.

also, get a Trinity OP the champ or the phenoix. there are lots of vids on youtube and they look like they will last a long time.

Why lug a Cimex? Don't they have buckets at your local hardware store?

Make that Pacific Pesos. throw in a 230volt motor and delivery to the 51st and we may just have a deal

Yeah, lets grab an open 5 gallon pail. Fill it with water and walk across the carpet and pour it into the opening of the cimex. What could possibly go wrong. Plus you look stupid doing that.

I did that on a large 30,000 sqft job. 1 Cimex and 1 Sprayborg. The Cimex did a great job but what a pain to refill. The Sprayborg was a joy to use. The Phoenix even better.
