Where is the new guy in all this discussion. I want to hear more about the benefits of a 3-phase motor.

Well, my Cimex has 3 pads that go round-n-round..... does that count for something?..AND, I got 3 hrs of sleep last night......feel like my brain is on a 3 phase...

It is as Lee stated the most versatile. You can use it in nursing homes or facilities that never close. It dries rapidly because you use so little solution. You can also use it on residential carpet, something you can't/shouldn't with a Cimex. Great for touching up spots, correcting Browning or water stains. It's also easily loaded by one man, something not easily accomplished with a Cimex.

However if you are maintaining CGD the Cimex is a beast. It eats up chunks of sq/ft with ease.

Which is best? Depends on what you are cleaning.

If you had a casino, with about 10k sqft, LOTS of food/drink spills, what would be your plan of action? I've got a great TM, 175, 17" Brushpro, Cimex...... and 9 hrs between close, and reopening......

All of the casinos around here are kept up really well. I might 175 bonnet the entry area. Cimex the rest, get air movers on it.

Wide open areas, 2000-2500 an hour per machine. Take a helper to run the Cimex. Clean it in a few hours and let it dry, pickup your air movers in the AM.

Other issue is, job is hr. 15 from the shop.......

You can mix it stronger as a spotter. Encapstore has a lot of good spotters too. Our guys use Magic Bullet as a general spotter.

I'd carry some 5 gallon jugs of water to pour into your machines as you get them on the floor. This way you hit the ground running.

Distance cuts into your time but not enough to worry about. The Casino's have great airflow which will aid in your drying. Don't leave your air movers, just use them as you clean.

We would send 4 Cimex's and finish in a little over an hour. The crew would be in and out and it would allow longer dry time.

.12 sq/ft $1200.00 Nothing great but still a good job and hopefully they become a regular account.

A 175 takes a little time and some experience. A Cimex, is like mowing the grass. Lay down solution going down, turn and agitate it coming back. The only caution is turn the solution off and lift the head off the carpet whenever you stop for more than a second.

That would be super easy with one Cimex. Even on the low end (2,000 sq ft per hr) you could cover that with a single Cimex in 5 hours. Have a helper getting you water, moving stuff, etc. You shouldn't have any problem getting that clean & dry in the time frame they've allotted. Using a Cimex with Encap-Clean DS2 and FiberPlus pads will make you look like a hero!

Would/should I add some peroxide to the solution?

Encap-HydrOx is great for jobs where there's organic soil, browning, water stains, ice melt, coffee, wine, etc. It'll also "pop" the colors, since brightening the fiber is one of its specialties. For normal soil loads though, like you'd have in a casino, I'd just go with Encap-Clean DS2. It's all you really need to hit the ball out of the park.
