Have you ever run a CDS unit like this?

The Cleanco was running fine for about 5 minutes and then lost power, went out to the van and the Savana was idling. Shut everything down and started over again and the same thing happened after a few minutes. After doing this several times it quit revving up completely.

I have an '07 Savana with a Cleanco Compact 47. The local distributor couldn't get it running and determined it was a GMC issue. The Cleanco throttle control module will only call on the GM ECM for more rpm's if certain conditions are met - transmission in park, parking brake set, can't touch service brake or gas pedal, GM error codes MAY affect operation.

The Savana has had a wonky oil pressure sensor for the last year so the local GM dealer replaced it and could not see any reason why the Cleanco shouldn't run. Van went back to the distributor who cleared any error codes the high tech way (disconnect battery) and was able to get the unit running. Drive the unit home, the next day Cleanco won't run. Van went back to GM per distributors request to check for error codes , none found.

Driving back to the distributor tomorrow, hoping to get this resolved. Gonna pray to the spirits of Ed, Garry and Judson to channel some good energy up North in the morning.

I had the same thing happen to my Vortex a few years back. After going through everything, the problem ended up being an overheating issue.
I ran the truck with a brick on the gas peddle for a few days. I noticed the water temp. was smoking hot.
The truck had a high temp shutdown, I was very thankful for that. It ended up being the radiator was plugged up with Cottonwood.
Now, every year I make sure I blow out the radiators.

I have a long Aluminum tube like an arrow with a lot of small holes down the length of it. It's a blow off tool I hook to my air compressor.

Where you have the ECU hook up there to the left ...the red wire block....

Do you have something else like an after market gps unit hooked up there.

They hooked my gps unit into those wires for power and every now and then, the gps unit searching for signal will shut down my Butler to an idle....

I just have to shut the unit off and restart....but most times it happens....it's when I am on a 3rd floor apartment building! :dejection: :hopeless:

It was not Butler that hooked up the gps there, but our local after market installers.....

Actually had it doing it to my Butler just 2 days ago.

Van was up against the side of a school building, gps getting bad signal, and it was making my Bulter RPM fluctuate....

I thought it was the Blower started to gum up.....nope....gps unit interfering with the Butler....

The red plug (in the first photo) is connected to the GMC ECM . That is what a mechanic will plug his diagnostic equipment into when he checks your vehicle for codes. The leads coming out of it go to the Cleanco electronic throttle module. Its mounted above the gas pedal.

Install a push/pull throttle cable to the unit. Infinite speed control.
Not sure how that would work, tying into the efi on the 6.0 litre and running it to the panel on the Cleanco?

We just had to make a small adjustment to the speed of the unit. There are a couple of small set screws below the red cap where the black lead terminates. The blower was spinning at 2450 rpm on the carpet setting. We upped it to 2850.

This same thing happened to my unit and it was the brake position sensor located under the drivers side dash by the brake pedal

these sensors go bad and the unit wouldn’t kick all the way up
I had it replaced and it’s all good
