All depends on the porty but 1500 sqft is a stretch.
I love porty work when it pays.
When it's all commercial carpet, doesn't make much sense using a porty rather than a Cimex or op machine. Once you have the dry soil off, it doesn't take much to clean what's left. You can add deodorizers if you want, pretreat stains just like you would with hwe. Drys quick without wicking usually. Don't let them make the choice. You're the professional, sell them the right method.

Yes on the water, and I run the same water in the porty aswell. We just use an industrial trolley, and truck it into the building, 36 gallons at a time....
