I've got friends who's into cars, import cars to be exact... Here in the land of mostly always sunny the clear bra films tend to start cracking and looking like shit in 3 years or so.... Very hard to remove and will have to come off in pieces..... I don't know if it's the cheaper material being used that's harder to remove.... I personally wouldn't use it after seeing how hard it is to remove....

Yes I have had clear wrap put on my vehicles. I have watched it being applied and helped a couple of times. I will say you must have a very high threshold for patience in working the better quality film but it is worth it in the end.

Last year I was hit just driving down the road, as a lady just plain didn't see me and attempted to kill me as she plowed her f150 into my car as I was driving down the road at 45 mph. The clear wrap damn near allowed no damage to the paint on the bumper even though the bumper was trash from the trauma.

Oh yeah, by all means.

They replaced my carbon fiber hood because on the exterior or finished side it looked great, but where there was no 3m clear vinyl it splintered in a couple of spots.

I got to keep the old hood and will be using it for a project coming soon.

And the stuff I get put on is not thin or lightweight, it is tuff vinyl that is not easily torn or damaged unless the object is sharp enough to cut it.
