Clearwater man hospitalized after inhaling fumes from cleaning chemicals

A 45-year-old man was rushed Monday afternoon to Mease Dunedin Hospital after he became sick while mixing cleaning chemicals in his apartment, police say.
According to public safety spokeswoman Elizabeth Watts, the man mixed household bleach and an ammonia-based cleaning product.
As he inhaled the fumes, he began to experience difficulty breathing.
He called 911 and was taken to the hospital, but he did not have any serious injuries.
