I looked at those once. The cheapest I fount was around $1500.00. Quite a lot for show and tell.
I know they are mentioned a lot.
Are reliable ones available cheaper. ?

Very reliable. Look on ebay, no point in getting new. As long as it's working fine used will do just as good.

Some of it is show and tell but that is the best way to prove you killed something that can't be seen. You can also include a charge for testing. You can charge for individual swab testing too. So large areas will reasonably be charged more. Or just include it and charge more for the service.

One thing: use RTV to seal the front face (where the nozzles are) to the casing. Otherwise moisture can intrude into the casing and cause issues.
